Natacha began dancing at the age of 3. For the past 15 years, she has been taught in a variety of dance styles. She has been trained in ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop. The style that stood out the most to her was ballet. Her love for ballet grew and allowed her to achieve great success in her dance career.
Over the years of competing, Natacha has received special awards with her demi-pointe and pointe dances including Junior Most Promising Dancer, Dancer of the Year finalist, RBC Silver Plate recipient, and finalist for the Fort William Rotary Silver Tray.
Natacha has completed numerous levels of ADAPT exams in tap and jazz. She has also successfully completed all Checcetti Method Classical Ballet examinations. As of June 2017, she has passed the last level (Advanced 2) of Checcetti exams. Accomplishing these major level exams has allowed her to build her technique at very demanding rate. Her advancement in these examinations has given her an extensive knowledge for the art of classical ballet. She is very excited to share her knowledge and build the strength and quality that ballet technique can offer to a dancer.
Natacha has attended many workshops working with professional dance instructors in all forms of dance. She also worked with instructors from the National Ballet School of Canada, Moscow Ballet, and Ballet Jorgen. While training for her Advanced 2 exam, Natacha attended the Checcetti Conference in Toronto held at the National Ballet where she worked with the examiners to build her technique and success in this exam. During the conference, she also worked with other instructors at NBS in contemporary and flamenco dancing.
For over five years, Natacha has assisted and co-taught competitive and non-competitive dancers of all ages. She has loved every moment of inspiring and teaching young children the art of dance and as well being able to allow students to succeed in their goals. Natacha is very excited to share her love for ballet with each dancer.
